COLUMBUS SHORT x WALKS OFF EDGE OF STAGE

March 8th, 2010 | By All Day

‘Stomp The Yard’ star Columbus Short taught every entertainer a very valuable but painful lesson over the weekend.

The star of ‘Stomp The Yard’ was in Fresno for a step show. Of course he was wearing sun glasses as he walked on stage in a dark arena. The ladies were screaming as Columbus enjoyed his rock star moment. That is until he didn’t see then end of the stage and walked right off of it, hitting his head as he fell. OUCH!

EXTRA CREDIT OPPORTUNITY x FAS 332

February 9th, 2010 | By All Day

Our Human Sexuality Professor allowed us to pair up in partners and create a 3-D model of either a vulva or penis for extra credit. This class is definitely interesting, one learns so much. What I am enjoying most out of this class is being educated on proper terms and functions of the body.

HOMEWORK x STUDYING x MUSIC X FAMILY

February 3rd, 2010 | By All Day

Hello everyone! Good Morning! It feels so long since I have posted anything on here, when in reality it has only been one day! But moreover, I have been extremely occupied with my studying. There is one class I am taking which very time consuming in regards of the reading material request, but of course, your boy A_D always has everything under control. My passion is music, but I have to settle in my priority first. Education is the key! Enough with my two cents motivation. I have some hooks and verses recorded. By the way, my family is still here at my apartment. I feel super excited and good inside. I had miss them sooooo much, if I had not expressed thoroughly. I really hope they can stay…

WINTER SESSION COURSE x ARIZONA STATE UNIVERSITY

January 5th, 2010 | By All Day

Thus far I have been enrolled in a winter math class for the past week and have only a week and a half remaining to complete the entire course to obtain my three credits sufficiency for my math requirement at Arizona State University.
I have some news for ya’ll. There are only three A’s in the class, four B’s, and eight F’s. Fortunately, I am one of the students whom claims an A; however, the class only gets more difficult as we advance on material. Since of today, six people have dropped the class. Out of the three exam we have taken, I have only missed two questions combined, yet I am still afraid and stressing a little. Keep in mind this three week course has cost me $1,300 to enroll plus the $619 ticket I got while driving to class the other day.

I know I will be fine…

FALL ‘09 SEMESTER FINALLY OVER!

December 21st, 2009 | By All Day

Wow! What a great academic year! I can definitely say I learned an enormous amount of new material and I am able to apply these new teachings into the ‘real world’. I had awesome Professors who bared with me the entire time via email, office hours, and during class, when I could not manage to comprehend material. I put forward a huge amount of commitment and dedication; all those late night studying and not going out on weekends definitely paid off! My sincerest appreciations to everyone who supported me this semester, mentally, financially, and emotionally. Most importantly, thank you to the Dorans, Alicia, and Robby, who always guide me towards the right path in a higher level of education. Looking forward toward Spring semester ‘10 … but even earlier than that, I will be taking one winter class at ASU, class begins on the 29th.

EXHAUSTED…

December 7th, 2009 | By All Day

It is now about to be two in the morning and I am exhausted. I have a final research paper due for COM 207 (Introduction to Communication Inquiry) this Tuesday. I am feeling a bit rushed because I am barely in the beginning stage of conducting my research. The criteria of this project asks for at least ten scholarly peer review journals as credibility when writing the essay. I have found sixteen journals related to my topic, thus far I have only read six. Keep in mind each journal is about twenty pages long and I have to make detailed notes regarding the readings! So yes, I am a tad behind on scheduling. Anyhow, I am going to bed and will not be pulling an all nighter to finish this project. The reason, I suffered a minor concussion Friday evening and I am yet in my final stages of fully recuperating, I would not want to rush things. Therefore, god bless and goodnight.

GROUP MEETING x COM 494

December 4th, 2009 | By All Day

This entire week, our group has been meeting every single day. Matter of fact, we have been meeting about twice a day. We first meet in the mornings at 6:30am, followed by our evening meetings at 6:30pm. The reason why we have been meeting so much is because we are preparing for our final group presentation, the phenomenon of sexual commitments and boundaries. This class requires an exaggerated amount of time and effort if you want to be successful in this course. The requirements for this presentation are profound. We had to conduct several interviews, produce write-up protocols, descriptions of the interviewee’s interview, correlate possible themes found in all the individuals interviewed, outlines, creating games which are associated with our group research, a presentation, and of course, a fifty page essay summation of everything we did and our interpretation of our phenomenon. Keep in mind this task took us the entire semester to produce, approximately four months.

PRESENTATION x PUBLIC SPEAKING CLASS

November 24th, 2009 | By All Day

I had a great day in class, my classmate Adrian presented a speech on why one should shop at “El Super” groceries store rather than “Fry’s”, “Safeway”, or “Albertson’s”. He also brought in each store’s advertisements newspaper and was sporting an El Super polo shirt…
And I quote him, “Why buy avocados at Safeway for 76 cents each, when at El Super you can get 4 for 98 cents; honestly, I don’t know what Safeway is thinking.”
