I arrived home yesterday afternoon after a great weekend from camping in Payson, Arizona. My brothers and I, from Sigma Lambda Beta, rented out a cabin to get away, relax, and enjoy one of our final weekends left from our winter break until spring semester initials at Arizona State University. I had such an awesome time! This place was hooked up!
Last night I went out to Maryvale High School to show alumni support, both from Maryvale HS and its varsity soccer team; and of course, to see my ex-team member, Raul (number 17), hold it down. During my senior year at Maryvale while playing varsity soccer, Raul was recruited to the team being a freshmen; hence, although he is a senior now and captain of the team, we still refer him as “freshmen”. Moreover, these gentlemen played an excellent game, definitely dominated the ball the entire game. Unfortunately, their straight four wins came to an end while playing versus Chandler HS, 2-1. However, that is not the end of it, the season has yet to come to an end. I have faith Maryvale will head far this season, with that said, I will be attending more games this season.
If you are around the area, stop by and support my cohort and I on Tuesday, November 17th. We will be having a percentage night at Panda Express, located on the North-East corner of University and College Ave in Tempe, Az. Once again, we are raising money for our senior trip to Washington D.C.
Friday night lights. Wow!
For the ones that do not know, I am a graduate from Maryvale High School which is located in the west-side of Phoenix. It has been a long time since I have attended a Maryvale football game; tonight was a special game, tonight was homecoming. And to top things out, Raidz’s brother was a candidate running for Homecoming King.
I had an awesome night tonight. I met up with so many teachers, securities, friends, classmates, and peers I have not seen since I graduated, which was in 2007. The campus brought so many memorizes, I most definitely had a great time. Shout outs to the Maryvale Panthers who dominated their game tonight and won 51-22. And of course, congratulations to Jeremy, Raidz’s brother, who was pronounced Maryvale’s 2009 Homecoming King.
Played my first game already, could not have been any more rusty at the sport as I was. Not even 15 minutes had past and I was in lack of air. Personally, played a good game, although we lost 5-3.
Looking forward toward the season. My goal is to give it all I have and win the championship. Let’s see what the season holds. I’ll keep ya’ll updated with each match.
After our dinner, we were invited by Kevin, head of Team Santizo (a local street racing team in Arizona) to drop by they Hookah bar on 67th Ave and Cactus and hang out with them. My very good friend Spyda also came on through; had a blast.

This morning I stopped at Big Fellas Barber Shop in Maryvale. Nick aka Exile, who works there, is a very good friend of mine. I consider him more like a mentor, older brother. Someone who always knows what and how to tell me something when I am having a problem or just need words of advice.
We had a short but in depth conversation about life in general and how sometimes we become deceive within everyday to life perceptions. On a personal level, he knows of my past and present situations where I have been at my worst, vice-versa.
Live is definitely approaching at a new perspective, at least for us, and it is happening at a fairly fast pace. There are numerous things out there for us in life that we need to accomplish to become successful. In order for that to happen, there must be change from the common usual life we were living. It is difficult to understand, but when you really understand the true meaning behind everything; you will find out “why”.
